Dr. Raphael Kinoti is the Executive Director of the Farming Systems Kenya (FSK) an NGO organization with a vision of “A vibrant, profitable and sustainable farming community in Kenya”. He is a graduate of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) and has a Masters in Organizational Development from the University of Nairobi and St. Paul’s University respectively. He has 19 years of experience in community development in the areas of Veterinary Medicine and surgery, community livelihoods development and environment and natural resources.
Dr. Kinoti has a wide exposure and has spoken at conferences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Portugal, Netherlands and Japan on issues of Veterinary Medicine and surgery and Environment and natural resources.
Dr. Kinoti is currently involved in Livestock, Crops and natural resources programs design, fund raising and implementation monitoring and is passionate on equine medicine and donkey welfare; overseeing programs in this field in Narok, Bomet, Nakuru, Baringo, Laikipia and West Pokot Counties as well as chairing the Alliance of Donkey Welfare Organizations in Kenya (ADWOK). He has led interventions on donkey welfare both at the community and National level.
